Dead & Company Sphere August 8, 9 & 10, 2024 Show Poster created by Little Hippie founder, Taylor Swope. Read below for thoughts on what this poster meant to Taylor.
- Two limited editions of AP's available: screenprint & lithographic, 50 of each. The difference between the two is subtle. The scrensprint has a bit of minty green in the highlights and a little more texture to the print. The litho has some deeper blues. They both look great.
- 18x24 print on white card stock
- Official Dead & Company release
- Signed and numbered
- Print will be rolled in an archival plastic sleeve and shipped in a 4" heavy cardboard tube. Shipping rate includes insurance.
- Flat shipping for an upcharge is available upon request. Email us after placing your order to arrange.
Thoughts from Taylor: This image was inspired by the timelessness of Grateful Dead music and all the journeys into the infinite it takes us on. It also has personal meaning to me. I grew up sailing with my family on a boat that was originally named Dark Star. Though my parents weren’t Deadheads, they bought the boat from a family friend who was. I took my dad to the August 1 show to celebrate his 80th birthday, and it meant a lot to me to finish this art for him. I consulted with him multiple times while finishing the details on the ship, employing his expertise to find a balance between accuracy and aesthetics, and it was a lot of fun sharing that process with him.
I spent the last two weeks of July working on this art while home for the break before the final shows, but the concept is something I put together during the pandemic. I worked on it a ton during the early months of 2021, and then it sat mostly untouched until I had the opportunity to submit it to Dead & Company.
