Application

• We will review your resume, video, & any other material you have sent us within a week of receiving it. 
• Applicants that do not answer our screener question will be automatically disqualified.
• We are looking for original & thoughtful responses that show us who you are as a person. Applicants that use AI to answer our screener questions will be automatically disqualified.
• If your application is not selected, you will receive an automated rejection notification.

Interview

• If we are interested in your application, our shop manager will invite you to interview in person at our shop.
• Interviews are held weekday afternoons and usually last about 15-30 minutes.
• You will be notified of our decision within a week of the interview.

Second Round Interview Questions

• Our shop manager will review interview notes with the owner.
• If we decide to move forward with an applicant, we will send a second round of questions. 
• These questions will ask for written responses to hypothetical situations included in the job description, along with any follow up questions from your interview.
• Follow up questions are designed to screen for writing skills, enthusiasm for problem solving, and aptitude for the tasks required by the job description.
• You will be notified of our decision to continue moving forward or not within three days of receiving your response

Trial Shifts

• Our shop manager will review your second round interview answers with the owner.
• If we decide to continue moving forward, we will schedule some four hour paid trial shifts.
• Trial shifts give both you and our team the opportunity to determine if you are a good fit for the position. 
• The following are some things we screen for in our trial shifts: aptitude for following instructions, interest in learning new skills, enthusiasm for engaging with customers and being a part of a neighborhood shop.
• If your first couple trial shifts go well, we will schedule a couple more.
• The trial period lasts two to three weeks before we make a final decision on hiring the applicant.
